The Dark Brotherhood Released: March 1st, 2010 How Obtained: Completion of the "Mysterious Business" Quest initiates the player into the Dark Brotherhood, whereupon their creature page displays the smokey eel symbol beside the profile tab, and the player gains access to the Dark Shop where specialized creatures may be purchased. Those creatures may then be sold to other players who are not members of the Brotherhood. Artist: GlassWalker made the symbol Common Abbreviation: The Brotherhood Additional Information: Players join or reject the Brotherhood for various reasons including- "It really does suit me", "I didn't actually read the quest", "I don't care, I just want the shark", "I refuse to join on moral grounds" or "I'm going to hold out for a different club". There is speculation that since there is a Dark Brotherhood, there will be future groups for other affiliated Magi, such as "Light", or other elements such as "Fire" and "Water".
